Alternator Test Rig

Single DC servo motor driving alternator. Automated test routines load alternator via load resistors, and active load. A Siemens S5 PLC is used to handle digital sequence functions and analogue measurements on test-value limits. Each alternator is run through a sequence of 16 different tests either by manual prompt or fully automated, at the operators discretion. This unit now been in service for over 10 years.
